As the days of summer were quickly fading and back to school was harsh reality, Kienna's "to do list" still had things to be checked off. With less than a week remaining feeding the ducks at Miller Park was up next. When asked if I would tag along and take some pics I jumped at the chance under one condition...I could shoot more than just ducks! So, a mini shoot was agreed upon. Here are some memories from that evening.





{Keegan}

Keegan {cousin to Bo, see previous post} is my niece Sarah's 9 month old beautiful baby boy. I had not seen him since Christmas Day when he was approximately 3 months old. So, when she opened the door to get him out I shuddered, then said...Oh my gosh does he look like Terry! {my brother}. It was a good shudder, don't get me wrong.

Then off we went to the perfect location {there's your shout out Jim} for an evening of summer memories to be captured forever. From four wardrobe changes to a break for applesauce and a bottle {and you can bet I caught that as well, the real everyday moments} mission accomplished! Once again, it is hard for me to pick my favorites but here is my attempt.  ~ Enjoy ~

{July 4th Collage}



In memory of my beloved mother in law, Lois, t-shirts were made marking the 25th anniversary of her passing. She loved summer ("the hotter the better"), 4th of July and family. Since her passing 8 more grandchildren and 2 great granchildren (with 2 more due shortly) have been added. Though we lost her at the tender age of 50 I was truly blessed by this wonderful woman.

{Katie + Austin} Sneak Peak!

"Good things come to those who wait"...

From castle grounds with a Shakespeare Festival to mowed prairie grass on a golf course the location was uncertain. But I reminded myself that all things happen for a reason and I would go to plan C...whatever that was. Then came the revelation...a renovated barn, covered bridge and antique wagon (Thank you Paynes).  God knew all along the setting these two needed and blessed all of us beyond our imagination.

Katie and Austin are planning a June 1st, 2012 wedding on the grounds of Mackinaw Valley Vineyard. With a time of 6pm the setting will be beautiful only to match this couple and their life ahead.

My niece graciously asked me to take pictures of her 6 month old son...Bo.

Her husband Mark was patient, her step daughter Sophie was precious, but the real trooper was Bo for he was 2 hours past his bedtime! June 16th was a perfect summer evening, one I'm sure we won't soon forget. Here are some of my favorites...though it was hard to choose.
